Marina Fedorova’s Hia Column: The Simple Moment That Changed My Life
My life and artistic path are built on discipline: step by step, day after day. I face challenges, find solutions, adjust plans, and keep moving forward, even when things get complicated or delayed. I know that hard work is the foundation of everything I do.
A moment of magic always finds us, a small spark of fate that meets us halfway when the heart is open. I experienced this magic in the deepest way many years ago.
One day, a man walked into a gallery and stopped in front of one of my paintings. It seemed that something in it had touched something inside him. He searched for my name, then found a way to contact me, and that simple moment changed our lives together.
Today, he is not only the love of my life, but also one of my greatest sources of inspiration. His presence still lights my way and gives me the drive to imagine new worlds and new works.
That is why I love New Year’s Eve: it reminds me that life is built on intention, and it also blossoms with miracles. It is the moment when we all pause, reflect, and whisper our wishes to the universe, hoping the next chapter will bring greater kindness, wider light, and new horizons.
My wish for the new year is simple: to keep pursuing our dreams with courage, and to remain open to beautiful surprises, those that give life its unique meaning.
As the end of the year draws near, I always feel a gentle sensation stirring inside me. On New Year’s Eve, despite my preoccupations and my age, I become a child again.
In the end, every year is a new canvas — and in each of our hands, a brush. I believe in miracles, truly, completely.
