Last Month of showcasing Marina Fedorova’s sculpture at DIFC park

With only weeks remaining, visitors have until 31 May 2026 to see Marina Fedorova’s sculpture Starship at DIFC in Dubai

The sculpture Starship was unveiled at the official opening on 26 November 2025 and is represented by Sputnik Gallery as part of Fedorova’s ongoing Cosmodreams project.

Starship evolved from an oil painting into a chrome-plated sculptural form informed by Islamic geometric star patterns and traditional celestial navigation. The work explores themes of cosmic journeys and human identity, recurring concerns within the Cosmodreams series. The 4th edition of DIFC Sculpture Park presents 50 works by 27 international artists under the theme “Enduring Forms,” situating the financial district as an open-air exhibition space.

The sculpture has received coverage from news and cultural media. Gulf News covered the installation, reporting on the sculpture’s aerodynamic form drawn from Islamic star motifs and its digital layer that “adds narrative depth and context to the physical work, transforming the sculpture from a static object into an interactive storytelling medium.”
Buro 24/7 described Starship as “a precise and contemporary solution for public space,” highlighting the QR code element, which links to an accompanying video, as an effective integration of digital and physical experience.
Gaze-tta.com noted the depth of Fedorova’s research into Islamic geometry and navigation, writing that the work derives its structure from “balance, symmetry, and radiating movement from a calm center.” The review also observed the sculpture’s relationship to its urban environment: “It doesn’t dominate the space. It collaborates with it.”

Starship is one chapter in the wider Cosmodreams project, which has been presented across China, Russia, and the Middle East over several years. Sputnik Gallery continues to develop and represent the project internationally.

Starship is on view at DIFC Sculpture Park, Dubai, through 31 May 2026. Admission is free and open to the public.
