For over two decades, Élise Blouet-Ménard has dedicated her career to the restoration, research, and development of exceptional leather objects, based in the historic town of Mortagne-au-Perche in Normandy. Her journey in craftsmanship is marked by passion, resilience, and a profound connection to material heritage. Recently, her expertise and contributions to the field were recognised with the prestigious Women in Craftsmanship Prize, co-created by LVMH and the magazines ELLE, ELLE Décoration, and ELLE à Table.

This prestigious award, known as part of the Prix des Artisanes, celebrates women who excel in a variety of artisanal fields, including fashion, watchmaking, winemaking, jewelry, and leatherwork. Under the patronage of the French Ministry of Culture, this prize recognises and honours women’s excellence in arts and crafts, highlighting their contributions to preserving and elevating French cultural heritage.
