Ateliers SP to open renovated workshops
Ateliers SP is carrying out the construction works in the Ateliers Buguet premises in La Chapelle-Montligeon, France, to allocate its workshops in a fully renovated space there. The works will contribute to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship and the promotion of social values in the business world.
Artisan d’art Frédéric Hamel, renowned for his exceptional cabinet making, is the first craftsman who joined the Ateliers SP in Montligeon in August 2023. Ateliers SP is looking forward to welcoming in its workshop area Audrey Legeay — artisan d’art famous for her skills in restoration of leather and metal objects, that is planned for May 2024.

The Ateliers Buguet, based in the former space of the Montligeon printing works, were originally founded by a catholic priest (abbé Buguet) in the late 19th century with the aim to give work to the local population. Now, the Buguet workshops, being deeply rooted in the social doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, embody principles of solidarity and communal responsibility to bring artisans and entrepreneurs together to share resources, ideas, and expertise. The Buguet workshops’ success lies not only in their exceptional craftsmanship but also in their dedication to fostering a collaborative environment.
For Ateliers SP, a permanent location in the Ateliers Buguet premises is symbolic and reflects its commitment to innovation and social impact to continue to inspire and shape the future of artisanal excellence.
