Ateliers SP at JEMA 2025 in Mortagne-au-Perche

The Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art, held in Mortagne-au-Perche from 4 to 6 April 2025, was a resounding success, celebrating the richness and diversity of skills. The event, which brought together 23 outstanding craftspeople, two prestigious schools and a host of enthusiasts, highlighted the importance of arts and crafts to the cultural and economic heritage of the Perche region.
The JEMA programme offered a wide range of discoveries, from exhibitions of unique creations to engraving and printing workshops for children. Visitors were able to discover a wide range of techniques, including rotogravure printing, clock-making, tablet-making, saddlery, jewellery-making and much more. Remarkable local craftspeople, as well as experts from other regions of France, enthusiastically shared their skills, giving visitors an insight into their passion and commitment.






The bright sunshine encouraged visitors to wander through the narrow streets of this ‘Petite Cité de Caractère’, discovering the 8 heritage sites where the craftsmen were exhibiting their work. Combining innovation with perfectly mastered traditional skills, the creations on display delighted the varied and committed public. The event was also a great success, with over two thousand visitors. Families, schoolchildren, art lovers and students all came together to create a friendly and dynamic atmosphere. Feedback from participants was very positive, underlining the importance of this type of event in raising public awareness of the richness of arts and crafts.
On Friday evening, all the craftspeople gathered for a reception to continue their discussions and build connections between our professions. The evening was supported by Ateliers SP.
The Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art were an opportunity to celebrate French expertise, encourage exchanges and strengthen links between craftspeople and the public.
